Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced it will be partnering withย Avon Products Inc. as the global beauty company embarks on a refresh of its IT infrastructure.ย The deal, announced this month, means thatย Avon will take advantage ofย HPE technologiesย to develop a hybrid infrastructure model, complete with outsourced security, network and monitoring tools.
Avon claimsย to be the worldโs largest direct seller,ย with more than $10 billion USD in annual revenue.ย This partnership enables Avon to accelerate itsย growth strategy in areas such asย digital where having a solid IT infrastructure is critical, saidย Sue Liddie, Avonโs chief information officer, in a statement.
The hybrid IT model enables firms such as Avon to use both in-house and cloud-based services as part of a strategy thatย provisions IT resources from the cloud with an eye on reducing operational costs.ย Specifically, Avon will establish a securityย operation centre at HPEโs global deliveryย facility and leverageย self-service tools, including remote support and data analytics to enhance its end-user experience.
In addition, the company will implement HPEโs tools to monitor and automate distributed server management services, including HPE Operations Manager, HPE Operations Orchestration, and HPE Server Automation, the companies said.
