Lenovo makes ultrabook thinner

Lenovoโ€™s latest light business laptop is billed as the thinnest T-series device made by the company.

The T431s Ultrabook, with a 14-in. screen and powered by third generation Intel Core processors, will set you back US$949 when it hits the market next month, the company said Monday.

Darren Murph of Engadget ย has a piece on how the laptop was designed, but before you get to that hereโ€™s a few vital stats:

It weighs just 1.63kg (3.6 pounds) and is 20.6mm (0.82 inches) thin. Like the previous model (the T-430s), it has a carbon fiber top cover and magnesium exterior.

In addition to the Intel CPU, thereโ€™s on-board Intel HD Graphics, improved from the previous model and two USB 3.0 ports for fast data transfer. The T431sโ€™ screen is a 1600 x 900 anti-glare display. Options include up to 12 GB of memory as well as different hard drive and solid-state storage options ย For security IT administrators can take advantage of Intel vPro.
