About Us

On 107.9 FM, we are the community local radio station for the Isles of Scilly.  We're proud to be a part of the community we serve and aim to inform and entertain.

The station has gone through a rocky period over the last few years. The current directors joined in 2019 and are working hard to address some of the technical problems that have cropped up in the last couple of years. The station had also begun to sound a bit tired and lacklustre.

It was decided that a re-brand would be a pivotal part of changing the perception of the station, along with several other changes. From the 31st January 2020, as well as a new station name, we have a new website, new jingles and have also welcomed some of the earlier Radio Scilly presenters back to the on-air team, so you'll be re-acquainted with old friends along with some new voices.  We are still broadcasting from the same studio at Porthmellon, and continue to be licenced and regulated by Ofcom, the UK Government's communications regulatory body.

Our presenters are all volunteers, generously giving their time to bring some unique programmes. With their enthusiasm, we hope to discuss stimulating topics, keep you informed on local matters, and provide a platform for the musicians, artists, writers and creatives who share the same love of these beautiful, unique Islands.
